The Superior Labor
Founded in 2007 by genius designer and master craftsman Makoto Kawai and his wife Yoshimi, the Superior Labor are all about outstanding design, high quality materials and an unparalleled attention to detail.
These processes are carried out in a beautifully renovated schoolhouse by a small team of highly dedicated craftsmen.
They work with a pride that is typical of Japanese craftsmanship.
The result is a range of 100% hand-crafted bags and accessories which are not only beautiful but also extremely practical and hard-wearing, fully justifying the Superior Labor motto: “ We take pride in craftsmanship and never skimp on time and effort. ”
We recommend treating your leather Superior Labor accessories or bag components with Ateliers Phileas "Pommade des Malles" (works particularly well for bags and bag straps and waterproofs), Ateliers Phileas "Baume Renaissance"(deeply nourishing leather cream, rejuvenates dry leather) on an annual basis or for a light regular treatment Smith's Leather Balm.
