This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or make a purchase from www.nomadostore.com (the “Site”). We only process and share your personal data within clearly-established limits when we have a lawful basis to do so and with your express permission.

PERSONAL INFORMATION COLLECTION

Site visits: When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, which websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically-collected information as “Device Information.”

B. Order process: when you make a purchase or attempt to make a purchase through the Site, we collect certain information from you, including your name, billing address, shipping address, payment information (including credit card numbers), email address, and phone number. We refer to this information as “Order Information.” Without this information, we would be unable to process your order and ship it to you. Note: we do not store or process your credit card data, only the type of card and the card number. See below for further information on payment processing.

C. Correspondence and other communications:  if you contact us by telephone, letter or by email, we will typically keep a record of that correspondence or communication;

We store e-mails sent to us for information on our products before the order process, as well as during and after the order process. Our e-mail system is hosted by Google (https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en). We will delete any e-mails you sent us at your request, contact us at the e-mail address below.

When we talk about “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we are talking both about Device Information and Order Information.

HOW DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

We use the Order Information that we collect generally to fulfil any orders placed through the Site (including processing your payment information, arranging for shipping, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations). Additionally, we use this Order Information to

a. Communicate with you;

b. Screen our orders for potential risk or fraud (see below);

 c. When you have registered for our newsletter or opted in for marketing when creating an account or placing an order, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.

d. We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize our Site (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the Site, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns). SHARING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

 We only share your Personal Information with third parties to help us use your Personal Information, as described above.

  • We also use Google Analytics to help us understand how our customers use the Site, you can read more about how Google uses your Personal Information here: https://www.google.com/intl/en/policies/privacy/. You can also opt-out of Google Analytics here: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
  • We share your personal information with our payment providers as part of the order process.
  • We share some of your personal information with providers of apps we use to increase the functionality of our Shopify store.
  • Shipping provider: we share your personal information with our shipping partner, as part of the shipping process.
  • Google drive: we store a limited number of documents for legal reasons.
  • Finally, we may also share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.

Please note that we do not alter our Site’s data collection and use practices when we see a Do Not Track signal from your browser.

EUROPEAN UNION RESIDENTS

If you are a European resident, you have the right to access personal information we hold about you and to ask that your personal information be corrected, updated, or deleted. If you would like to exercise this right, please contact us through the contact information below. This service is free of charge and will be carried out within 30 days of your contacting us. If for legal reasons, we are unable to comply with your request, we will inform you of this within one month of receiving your request.

  • Verify that the requester is the same as the data subject (that is, the requester is not asking to modify someone else’s personal data)
  • Confirm there is no legal obligation to preserve this data in the existing state
  • If both conditions are satisfied, we will modify your data
2. Erasure: within 30 days of receiving your request, we will:
  • Verify that the requester is the same as the data subject (that is, the requester is not asking to erase someone else’s personal data)
  • Confirm there is no legal obligation to preserve this data
  • If both conditions are satisfied, we will erase your data

Additionally, if you are a European resident we note that your information will be processed through the Shopify e-commerce platform in order to fulfil contracts we might have with you (for example if you place an order through the Site), or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests listed above. This implies that your information will be transferred outside of Europe to Canada and the United States. Personal data of residents of the EU can only be transferred to recipients outside the EU if the recipient has adequate protections in place (see below).

These protections may include:

Shopify has protections for personal data in every step of its data flow:

1. Within the European Union: EU personal data is received and initially processed by Shopify's Irish entity, Shopify International Ltd.

2. EU to Canada: Data is exported from the EU to Shopify’s Canadian parent entity, Shopify Inc. This export takes place within Shopify’s corporate structure. Data within Shopify Inc. is protected under PIPEDA, Canada’s private sector privacy legislation, which is considered adequate under the GDPR.

3. United States: Shopify Inc. uses a combination of data centres and cloud service providers to store this personal data in the United States and Canada. When personal data is transferred to the United States, it is either done so through the EU-U.S. and Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield, for Shopify’s own storage, or through contractual data protection addenda (DPAs) with third-party service providers. The EU-U.S. and Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shields are also considered adequate under the GDPR. Shopify’s Privacy Shield certification statement can be found on PrivacyShield.gov

DATA RETENTION

When you place an order through the Site, we will maintain your Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.

Shipping provider: automatically delete all shipment data every 3 months in their system.

MINORS

The Site is not intended for individuals under the age of 18.
