Marineday is a Kobe-based Japanese brand that has been committed to using the finest materials and manufacturing methods since 2005.
In Japan, Marine Day is also known as "Ocean Day" or "Sea Day", a Japanese national holiday celebrated on the third Monday in July. The purpose of the holiday is to give thanks to the ocean's bounty and to consider the importance of the ocean to Japan as an island nation.

Hayashi-san's designs are elegant through their simplicity and surprising in their ingenuity. Smooth curves hide clever storage options and their slim profiles belie their capacity.
Particular attention has been paid to the materials (a superb chunky leather and either linen canvas or nylon 66 for the bags and a sublime goatskin for the pouches) and the importance of Japanese craftsmanship in the manufacturing process (their entire range is 100% made in Japan).
