Eboya Houju M size Fountain Pen (Tanshin Red)

Ebonite was a precursor to the first plastics in the first half of the 20th century, a beautiful material made from natural rubber and sulphur. Eboya make the world's finest ebonite, every pen is hand turned by master craftsmen on special lathes, the finish is exquisite. These are true luxury items.

The most prestigious fountain pen manufacturers  (Sailor, Platinum, etc.) use Eboya ebonite. Because they control the production process from end to end, with the exception of the nib, Eboya pens are available at a lower price point than other high end Japanese brands for an equivalent quality.

Eboya ebonite has a gorgeous marbled finish, unique to each pen. The materials is comfortable to hold (it doesn't feel like plastic).

"HOUJU (宝珠)" is the dragon's treasure, the ball shaped like a tear drop which has the power to make all dreams come true. Eboya named "HOUJU" with their wish that their fountain pens bring good luck to all their customers.

Currently available with an MF nib. 

Eboya use 14k gold European nibs from Bock, these nibs are in typically European thicknesses (i.e. they don't write like Japanese nibs that tend to be a half size thinner).
