HMSO Pencil Case

These museum grade heavy cardboard pencil boxes are hand printed on a 1890 press and stitched with brass wire. Made with machinery in use since the 1880s.

Incorporated in 1786, His (or Her) Majesty's Stationery Office, was created as a "private" company that was accountable to the Royal Treasury. They provided stationery to the British Government and schools for 210 years.
