It took us over a year to select a pocket knife manufacturer, we were looking for a company that still made their products by hand without compromising on materials. TEW knives are individually made by one craftsman in their Sheffield workshop using high quality stainless steel for their mirror-polished blades and exotic natural materials for the handles such as ox, buffalo and rams horn and exotic woods such as ironwood and precious amboyna burr. Each knife takes 2-6 hours to craft.

The Premier Collection is constantly changing with only a limited amount of knives being made in any one design by craftsmen with skills acquired over many years and using only the finest materials. Actual knives may differ slightly from the illustrations, since each knife is unique and handmade.
Taylors Eye Witness was founded by John Taylor in the early years of the 19th Century as designers and producers of kitchen knives, pocket knives, scissors and sharpeners.
The “Eye Witness” Trademark was first registered in 1838 – the inspiration for the choice of “Eye Witness” is believed to be Shakespeare’s line in Henry IV – “No eye hath seen better”.
