    Roots is a beautifully-crafted cotton canvas and 66nylon bucket-shaped shoulder bag from Kobe, Japan with lots of storage options.

    As expected from Marineday, the bag looks deceptively simple on the outside, but offers clever details, lots of pockets and an extra leather handle on the inside.

    Designer Yuji Hayashi has put a lot of thought into Roots. The bag's shoulder strap, main shell and beautiful white with yellow piping inner lining are made of very high quality canvas and the inner handle is genuine leather. The bottom of the bag is covered in a lightweight but rugged 66Nylon (similar to Cordura), which protects it from the elements and wear and adds some rigidity to maintain the bag's bucket shape.

  • 2 way bag: can be carried by the shoulder strap on the shoulder or by the internal leather handle. This extra leather handle inside the bag can be used to carry it by hand or on the wrist.
  • Nylon bottom provides protection and maintains shape.
  • Note: the canvas section is indigo-coloured, not dyed with natural indigo, which means that it will not rub off as easily.
